For more than 30 years the success of the meeting and convention city Berlin has been closely connected to the International Congress Centrum ICC. Now a new chapter is being written. In 2014 the ICC Berlin will close for renovation work and subsequently the CityCube Berlin, a new multi-functional congress and trade fair venue, will open for business. This building is currently under construction next door to the South Entrance of the exhibition grounds. In the future, there will be room for up to 11,000 people at events in the CityCube Berlin.

Bookings up to 2022

Since the foundation laying ceremony in July 2012 the CityCube has attracted keen interest both at home and abroad. A substantial number of bookings have already been taken for events in 2014 and 2015. Currently, bookings for the CityCube Berlin have already been taken for the year 2022. Commenting, Dr. Christian Göke, Chief Executive Officer of Messe Berlin GmbH, said: "We can justifiably say that even before its completion the CityCube Berlin has taken up its position on the market for national and international events."
