Do you ever dream of taking a break from your Brussels-based association headquarters and going to the Belgian Coast? Well, it doesn't have to remain just a dream. Because the Belgian Coast is also a perfectly suitable workplace. With its dozens of premiere venues along 67 kilometres of coastline, the Coast is truly the place to be for large-scale events or congresses. Or for an intimate board meeting as well – there are plenty of charming small-scale meeting hotels!

A quick survey of what Blankenberge and Oostende have to offer produced this sampling of larger-scale venues, including several novelties:

Blankenberge

Congress centre Floreal is the favourite spot for companies that want to combine business with recreation in a budget-friendly way. Needless to say, this venue offers both auditorium capacity (up to 640 persons) and excellent sports facilities.

Coast theatre 't Colisee is a completely renovated art theatre hall for plays, stand-up comedy, music and dance performances, congresses, parties or Dinner & Show events – with room for up to 500 guests in an inviting auditorium.

The Pier is a very unique venue – perhaps in all the world: you can hold your meeting in the auditorium, which is located four metres below sea level. Those who prefer to remain above sea level can enjoy an event with an extraordinary 360° view on the North Sea. (300 persons max. in seminar style)

Oostende

The Wellington hippodrome is totally renovated and, in the summer, the home of weekly horse races. Which is also the inspiration for the name of the large (1,600 m²) event hall: Hip'O. An atmospheric venue for dinners or events for up to 1,200 persons.

The Sleuyter Arena is another capacity topper: 5000 persons. It's not only the home base for the Oostende basketball team, but also the perfect venue for events on a grand scale. Both the Schlager Festival and Milk Inc have drawn huge crowds here. It's up to you to do the same for your company's next event.

Kursaal Oostende has been – almost literally – a steady-as-a-rock venue for years. You can hardly host your event closer to the sea. The auditorium offers room for 2000 persons.
