Aeroports de Paris, the Comité Regional du Tourisme Paris Ile–de-France, the Comité des Expositions de Paris & Viparis have launched the Paris « Welcome Pack » : a complete programme aimed at welcoming, informing, guiding & transport visitors, exhibitors & delegates to international events held in the various Viparis venues in Paris & Ile de France.

The Paris « Welcome Pack » is comprised of four major components:

• Welcoming: Event banners, placed upon arrival for visitors to Paris, delivering a welcome message from the organisers.
  As of today, banners are also dressed along the major axes leading to events held in Paris Porte de Versailles & Palais des Congres de Paris.

• Informing: Event visitors are greeted by bilingual hostesses in kiosks inside the customs zones of the Paris Airports, as well as on the platforms of Gare de Lyon & Gare de l'Est railway stations. These hostesses provide practical information about the event they are attending, the venue and the city's wider tourist offer.

• Guiding: With large, high-visibility signage leading visitors, exhibitors & delegates to specially charted shuttle services, as well as signage on the major arterial roads and around the venues themselves, event visibility is strongly enhanced

• Transportating: Free & efficient shuttle services from airports to the Viparis venues providing a more comfortable journey.

As of arrival into Paris airports and railway stations, and right up to entrance into congress halls and exhibition centres, multiple welcoming gestures and services are provided to enhance comfort of, and thus show consideration for visitors of these tradeshows and international congresses.

For major international events

Criteria for eligibility were established to qualify major international events. On these bases, the Paris "Welcome Pack" will service 42 events in 2009 totalling 142 days.

Viparis hosts over 1 000 exhibitions & events per year in Paris Ile-de-France across its 10 venues : Paris Porte de Versailles, Le Palais des Congrès de Paris, Carrousel du Louvre, Espace Champerret et Paris Nord Villepinte, Paris Le Bourget, Cnit Paris La Défense, Le Palais des Congrès d'Issy, Espace Grande Arche and Palais des Congrès de Versailles. Viparis works in active partnership with its clients, the organisers, to boost the success of their exhibitions & congresses.
